RUGGED ACCESS POINTS & BRIDGES-
Cisco Aironet access points provide secure, manageable, and
reliable connectivity with exceptional range and
performance. Lightweight access points operate in
conjunction with Cisco wireless LAN controllers and the
Wireless Control System (WCS). Autonomous
access points are
manageable via CiscoWorks Wireless LAN Solution Engine (WLSE)
or CiscoWorks WLSE Express.
WIRELESS LAN
CONTROLLER-
Integration of the wired and wireless network is critical
for unified network control, scalability, security, and
reliability. Unified network services are provided across a
variety of platforms including wireless LAN controllers and
integrated switches and routers, allowing network managers
to build secure, enterprise-class wireless networks.
Cisco wireless LAN controllers integrate into existing
enterprise networks for advanced management capabilities and
enhanced performance. They communicate with Cisco Aironet
lightweight access points over any Layer 2 (Ethernet) or
Layer 3 (IP) infrastructure and are responsible for handling
system wide functions.
CLIENT DEVICES-
Cisco Aironet
Wireless LAN Client Adapters quickly
connect desktop and mobile computing devices to the wireless
LAN in 802.11a/b/g-compliant networks. For additional form
factors and operating systems, Cisco has teamed up with the
industry leaders to provide Cisco Compatible Extensions.
WIRELESS INTEGRATED
SWITCHES & ROUTERS-
Wireless integrated switches
and routers provide
cost-effective support for converged networks that integrate
wireless connectivity. Integrated platforms lower hardware
costs, simplify remote management, and offer flexible
configuration options that can reduce the total cost of
operations and ownership.
NETWORK MANAGEMENT-
Network managers need reliable cost-effective tools for
wireless LAN planning, configuration, and management. These
tools must be centrally available and support simplified
operations and easy-to-use graphical interfaces.
MOBILITY SERVICE-
The Cisco Unified Wireless Network cost-effectively supports
new mobility applications, emerging Wi-Fi technologies, and
advanced threat detection and prevention capabilities. It
supports advanced features such as wireless voice and
location services, as well as advanced wireless security
features such as Network Admission Control, the Cisco
Self-Defending Network, and guest access.
