DTS consultants will focus exclusively on completing the following tasks for each phase of the project:

1.       Project Initiation

1.2.    Review points of contact and escalation process

1.3.    Request any available network documentation

2.       Perform network baseline analysis

2.1.    Review Customer’s network documentation

2.2.    Analyze existing network design

2.3.    Analyze the IP and subnet schema

2.4.    Review switch and network configurations

2.5.    Review firewall and VPN configurations

2.6.    Review routing protocol and configuration on LAN and WAN

2.7.    Review switching methodology and VLAN design

2.8.    Review WAN ISP circuit bandwidth

2.9.    Review the current applications implemented on the network.

2.10.Review network cabling infrastructure

2.11.Review network maintenance and support

2.12.Document current baseline and develop logical drawing

3.       Perform network traffic analysis

3.1.    Install and configure network analysis tools

3.2.    Analyze existing network traffic and patterns between sites

3.3.    Analyze network traffic and patterns after application implementation, if appropriate

3.4.    Analyze performance data to identify bottlenecks and issues

3.5.    Document findings from traffic analysis

4.       Perform wireless network survey (if necessary)

4.1.    Review current configuration of the wireless network and devices

4.2.    Perform a wireless coverage survey

4.3.    Develop recommendations for improvement

4.4.    Document results of the coverage survey and recommendations

5.       Develop recommendations

5.1.    Analyze baseline and traffic analysis data

5.2.    Identify opportunities for improvement to the existing design

5.3.    Develop requirements for network design improvements
